“We wanted to create a feeling of permanence and history, of a space well lived and loved and somehow reminiscent of our childhoods, spent in Buenos Aires and Europe. Michelle and Lizelle were able to play with and encase our nostalgia beautifully into the design of our wonderful kitchen, from the materials they chose to work with to the design itself. Marble top and kitchen island were repurposed and restored uncovering the traces of previous lives; wooden shelves held in place by strong wrought iron bars display a chaotic mix of textures and colors; a deep farmers sink contrasts nicely with the very urban light pendants. The old and the new. All in all a very warm and well-crafted kitchen that we feel reflects who we are and where we come from, and allows us to be ourselves.”
