Inherent Design is an Auckland-based interior architecture and residential design studio working across interiors, the built environment and bespoke product design.

Interior architecture sits at the heart of the practice. It brings together spatial planning, the architectural qualities of a building, interior design, materials, light and function to create cohesive environments shaped around the people who use them.

Alongside interior architecture, Inherent Design undertakes residential architectural design and bespoke product design, including furniture, cabinetry, lighting and individual architectural elements. This cross-disciplinary expertise allows projects to be considered as connected wholes, from the relationship between a building and its interiors to the objects and details that complete a space.

The studio works across residential, commercial and heritage projects, adapting its approach to the character, purpose and requirements of each project.
